2017 JAMB UTME Updates: 1.6 Million JAMB Results Released, Supplementary Exam to be Conducted. The Registrar of JAMB, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, in a public statement disclosed that 1,606,901 results have been released, out of the 1,718,425 that registered. He said supplementary examination would be conducted soon for candidates who had hitches in the registration and examination processes.

He made this known during a news conference in Abuja. He stated JAMB 2017 Results were released within 24 hours after each examination, and the remaining 80,889 candidates results will soon be out. Oloyede said the bold deliberately withheld about 76,923 results dues to some alleged malpractices in some of the Computer Based Centres (CBT) where exams were held.

According to him, Six weeks during the UTME registration, a total number of 1.7 million students registered for the UTME Examination, but so far, we have released a total number of 1,606,901 results, leaving us with a balance of 80,889 results. And out of the 80,889, we have decided to withhold 76,925 results for further investigation because of alleged malpractices. He stressed that the remaining results won’t be released immediately unless every issue regarding the conduct of an examination had been thoroughly looked into which depict the international best practices.

He said the remaining results will be released before the before the commencement of admission exercise, and also supplementary examination will be carried out for students who has hitches during the examination and registration process. 2017 JAMB UTME Updates: 1.6 Million JAMB Results Released, Supplementary Exam to be Conducted for students who has hitches during the examination.

The Registrar of JAMB, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, also disclosed that any students whose biometric could not be verified will be allowed to do the supplementary examination. And presently, 640 students out of 1.7million who registered did not do biometric verification, reasons being that some fraudsters registered candidates across online. henceforth, students are not guilty of the offense and will resit for the exam under my own very eyes. He also promised to introduce electronic jammers to curb examination malpractices.
